1. In-App Account Lifecycle
Where available, the fastest account action path is inside the Qannects app from Profile or account settings.
The current app account lifecycle flow lets a user deactivate the personal account or schedule deletion.
The account lifecycle screen may show an impact preview, including personal profile impact, Qannects identity impact, workspace ownership impact, workspace membership impact, and records that may be retained or anonymized.
2. How to Delete Your Account
Where the in-app flow is available, a user can request account deletion from the app.
- Open Profile and select Manage Account.
- Choose Deactivate or delete account.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the account, workspace, membership, and retained-record impact shown in the app.
- Confirm the acknowledgement and submit the deletion request.
- Qannects schedules the account for deletion for 30 days. Logging in before the scheduled deletion date may cancel deletion before finalization.
If the in-app flow is unavailable, the user cannot access the account, or the request needs support review, the user can use the Legal Center request form or contact support@qannects.com.
3. Deactivation
Deactivation is intended to be reversible. It may hide or restrict the personal profile, sign out active sessions, reserve public handles, and pause normal account visibility.
A deactivated user may reactivate by signing in later where self-recovery is available.
Deactivation does not mean every record connected to the account is deleted.
4. Scheduled Deletion
The current in-app deletion flow schedules deletion for 30 days. You may be logged out after scheduling deletion.
Logging back in before the scheduled deletion date may cancel deletion before finalization.
When deletion is scheduled, Qannects may hide or restrict the personal profile, revoke active sessions, reserve or tombstone public handles, and move the account into pending deletion status.
After the 30-day period, Qannects' scheduled deletion process may finalize deletion for supported personal-account records.
5. Workspace Ownership and Memberships
Non-owner workspace memberships may be revoked automatically when account deletion is requested.
If the account owns a workspace, organization page, creator channel, donation surface, Watch/admin surface, or other operated surface, full Qannects identity deletion may wait until the owned surface is transferred, dissolved, suspended, or reviewed.
Workspace dissolve support exists where enabled and may use its own schedule/cancel flow. Ownership-transfer handling may require additional support or future tooling.
Qannects may hold deletion finalization when ownership or workspace resolution is required so other users, donors, organization operations, safety records, legal records, and payment obligations are not harmed.
6. Web and Support Requests
If you cannot access the app, have uninstalled it, lost access to your account, or need help checking a deletion request, use the Qannects Legal Center request form where available or contact support@qannects.com.
The request needs to identify the account and state that you are requesting account deletion or deletion support. Qannects may ask for verification before taking action.
Legal Center account-deletion requests are support intake and verification paths. They do not automatically execute deletion by themselves.
7. What Account Deletion May Affect
Account deletion may remove, disable, anonymize, or restrict supported user-account records and access depending on the product area, technical state, legal requirements, and retention rules.
Deletion may affect profile access, login sessions, public account identity, app settings, user-linked records, non-owner workspace memberships, and supported account data.
Some content or records may remain visible or retained when another user, organization, workspace, payment processor, legal obligation, safety concern, audit need, or product behavior requires it.
8. What May Remain After Deletion
Some records may remain after account deletion, including:
- Legal, safety, abuse, fraud, security, moderation, or compliance records.
- Payment, donation, refund, chargeback, receipt, tax, accounting, or processor records.
- Workspace, organization, admin, event, janazah, Watch, TV/display, or donation records controlled by an organization or workspace.
- Messages, comments, reports, content, or records held by other participants.
- Backups that expire through normal retention cycles.
- Records needed to investigate disputes, enforce policies, prevent abuse, comply with law, protect users, or document prior account activity.
Qannects may also retain limited information to prevent repeat abuse, preserve safety evidence, comply with legal obligations, protect payment integrity, reserve or tombstone public handles, or document that a request was handled.
9. Current Boundaries
At this stage, scheduled deletion finalization is focused on supported personal-account workflows.
Qannects does not currently promise immediate deletion, complete deletion across every downstream product area, automatic deletion from Legal Center intake, guaranteed data export tooling, or deletion of all copies held by other people, workspaces, devices, providers, backups, legal/safety records, or payment processors.
