1. Introduction
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Qannects websites, mobile applications, admin tools, workspaces, profiles, feeds, messaging, Watch, donations, payments, support, reporting, Legal Center pages, and related services.
Qannects services and policies are based on Islamic principles and values, including trust, truthfulness, justice, privacy, modesty, child protection, anti-exploitation, fair dealing, community benefit, and accountability.
A core objective of Qannects is to maintain a modest, family-safe, and values-based environment. Pornography, sexually explicit material, sexualized content, or content outside Qannects' modesty standards has no place on the platform, whether it appears as text, image, video, audio, livestream, profile content, message, link, upload, thumbnail, or other media.
These Terms do not mean that every feature, user action, organization, donation, payment flow, seller, product, or service is Sharia-certified. Qannects does not provide religious rulings, legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, accounting advice, zakat determinations, or charitable-status determinations.
2. Agreement to These Terms
By accessing or using Qannects, you agree to these Terms and the policies that apply to your use of the service, including the Privacy Policy, Community Standards, Safety and Child Protection Policy, Copyright Policy, Take It Down Policy, Data Rights and Delete Account notices, and product-specific rules where applicable.
If you use Qannects for an organization, mosque, school, business, workspace, creator channel, charity, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act for that entity. You are responsible for making sure your use of Qannects is lawful and authorized.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use Qannects. If Qannects updates required Terms or Privacy documents, you may need to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the service.
3. Eligibility
Personal account creation is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Qannects only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
Qannects may serve families, children, schools, mosques, organizations, events, TV/display contexts, and supervised community settings. However, Qannects is not currently intended for under-13 personal account creation unless a separate child privacy, parental consent, and safety workflow is approved.
You must provide accurate information, maintain secure credentials, and use Qannects only for lawful and permitted purposes. Qannects may restrict age-inappropriate, unsafe, deceptive, unauthorized, or unsupervised use.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for activity under your account. You must keep your credentials secure and must not share access in a way that creates unauthorized use.
- Do not impersonate another person or entity.
- Do not create deceptive, misleading, or unauthorized accounts.
- Do not bypass security, verification, access, or rate-limit controls.
- Do not access accounts, workspaces, devices, data, systems, or private areas without authorization.
- Do not misuse verification, invitations, claims, admin roles, payment-device access, or legal request workflows.
Qannects may restrict, suspend, deactivate, delete, or require verification for accounts that appear compromised, abusive, deceptive, illegal, unsafe, inactive, unauthorized, or otherwise inconsistent with Qannects policy.
5. Workspaces and Admin Authority
Workspace authority is a trust and responsibility. Workspace owners, admins, editors, moderators, payment-device operators, creator operators, and other role holders must use access only for authorized purposes.
- Keep workspace identity and claims truthful.
- Keep organization, mosque, school, business, creator, and public-page information accurate.
- Take responsibility for content published through workspace tools.
- Use donation appeals, events, janazah notices, announcements, Watch uploads, and payment-device activity truthfully.
- Keep admin access secure.
- Remove or update access when a role holder should no longer have authority.
Qannects may log, review, restrict, revoke, or escalate admin actions for security, compliance, support, audit, safety, legal, or policy reasons. Workspace claims, invitations, revocations, access requests, and authority disputes may be subject to Qannects review.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Qannects, subject to any rights owned by others.
By submitting content to Qannects, you grant Qannects a license to host, store, copy, display, publish, transmit, distribute, adapt for technical formatting, moderate, restrict, remove, and otherwise use the content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service.
- You must have the rights needed to submit the content.
- Your content must not violate law.
- Your content must not violate another person's rights.
- Your content must not violate Qannects policy.
Public or shared content may remain visible to other users, visitors, workspaces, recipients, search engines, screenshots, caches, reports, backups, legal/safety records, or devices even if you later edit or delete it.
7. Prohibited Conduct and Content
You must not use Qannects for conduct or content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, exploitative, abusive, unsafe, or inconsistent with Qannects policy.
- Illegal activity or attempts to evade law.
- Harassment, threats, bullying, hate, intimidation, targeted abuse, stalking, doxxing, or incitement of harm.
- Pornography, nudity, sexually explicit content, sexualized or immodest content, erotic services, sexual solicitation, sexually explicit audio, nonconsensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, sexualized content involving minors, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or objectification.
- Attempts to post, request, trade, link to, promote, normalize, bypass filters for, or distribute prohibited sexual, pornographic, sexualized, or immodest content.
- Gambling, betting, scams, fraud, deceptive fundraising, deceptive product claims, pyramid schemes, or predatory commerce.
- Impersonation, false workspace claims, fake reviews, fake donations, manipulated metrics, spam, malware, scraping, platform abuse, or unauthorized automation.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
- Misuse of religious texts, religious authority, community status, admin access, donation appeals, or organization identity to deceive, shame, exploit, harass, incite harm, or raise funds dishonestly.
- Sale, promotion, or facilitation of prohibited, unsafe, illegal, exploitative, deceptive, or policy-inconsistent goods or services.
Qannects may set stricter standards than generic social platforms because the service is based on Islamic principles and values.
Qannects may take strict action for violations, including immediate content removal, upload restrictions, feature limits, account suspension, account termination, workspace restrictions, device/payment restrictions, evidence preservation, legal escalation, and reports to authorities or safety organizations where required or appropriate.
8. Donations and Payments
Donations and payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Unless a specific flow clearly says otherwise, donations and payments are organization-managed or product-context payments where Qannects acts as a platform/payment facilitator rather than the charitable organization, merchant of record, religious authority, tax advisor, or financial advisor.
Qannects may store payment references, receipt records, donation metadata, recurring donation information, support records, payment-device records, refund/dispute references, and related audit data.
- Organizations are responsible for truthful donation appeals and accurate descriptions.
- Organizations are responsible for lawful fundraising and appropriate use of funds.
- Organizations are responsible for donor communications and receipts where applicable.
- Organizations are responsible for tax, zakat, charitable-registration, accounting, and compliance obligations that apply to them.
Qannects does not provide tax, zakat, legal, financial, accounting, or religious advice. A donation shown in Qannects is not automatically tax-deductible, zakat-valid, religiously certified, refundable, or guaranteed to be used in a particular way unless the relevant organization and policy explicitly say so and support it.
Refunds, chargebacks, failed payments, recurring donation changes, cancellations, and disputes may depend on payment processor rules, organization policy, applicable law, the specific product/donation context, and Qannects support review.
9. Messaging
Messaging visibility depends on conversation type. Private direct messages, workspace support messages, workspace-visible conversations, system messages, commerce/support contexts, and future conversation types may have different privacy and retention rules.
Private encrypted messaging, where enabled, does not mean every messaging surface is encrypted in the same way or visible to the same parties. Workspace-visible, support, commerce, system, safety, moderation, legal, and future conversation types may be processed or retained differently.
You must not use messaging for harassment, exploitation, spam, scams, grooming, illegal conduct, pornography, sexually explicit or immodest content, sexual solicitation, sexual exploitation, threats, impersonation, platform abuse, or policy violations.
Deleting a message or conversation may remove it from your view without deleting copies held by other participants, reports, backups, legal/safety records, workspaces, or devices.
10. Watch and Creator Content
Creators and workspace operators must have rights to upload, publish, stream, thumbnail, describe, tag, and promote Watch content.
Pornographic, sexually explicit, sexualized, or immodest video, audio, thumbnail, livestream, title, description, tag, comment, or related creator content is prohibited.
Watch content may be processed, transcoded, moderated, restricted, interrupted, hidden, restored, archived, removed, reported, reviewed, or blocked for safety, copyright, technical, legal, or policy reasons.
Watch and creator/upload features are available only where enabled and are subject to rollout, review, policy, and technical limits. Qannects does not promise creator monetization, advertising, revenue share, guaranteed publishing, uninterrupted live streaming, or copyright safe-harbor status unless separate published terms say otherwise.
11. Future Store and Delivery Services
Store is currently treated as demo, preview, or pilot posture unless Qannects explicitly launches it as a public marketplace. Delivery services are not deployed as public services at this stage.
Preview, demo, pilot, internal, or unreleased features are not guaranteed public production services. Qannects may limit, change, disable, or remove them at any time.
Before any public Store or delivery-service launch, additional terms may apply, including rules for permissible goods, seller honesty, fair pricing, refunds, disputes, delivery accountability, worker/seller safety, anti-exploitation controls, payment transparency, payout handling, taxes, and compliance obligations.
12. Reports, Moderation, and Enforcement
Qannects may review reports, remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend accounts, deactivate accounts, preserve records, notify users, escalate to workspace operators, cooperate with lawful requests, or take other action consistent with product capabilities, policy, and law.
Violations involving pornography, sexual exploitation, sexualized or immodest content, minors, grooming, trafficking, nonconsensual intimate imagery, or attempts to evade these rules may be treated as serious violations and may lead to immediate strict action.
Reporting and review tools may vary by feature, platform, account type, and rollout stage. Qannects does not promise report tooling, appeal workflows, duplicate-detection systems, scanner workers, takedown deadlines, or response timelines unless a specific published policy or legal requirement says so.
Qannects may consider context, severity, risk, repeated conduct, legal obligations, user safety, child protection, community harm, abuse patterns, evidence availability, and platform integrity when deciding what action to take.
13. Safety and Child Protection
Qannects has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation, sextortion, trafficking, and conduct that endangers minors.
Users should report urgent safety issues through available product flows, the Legal Center request form, or support@qannects.com. If there is immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services first.
Qannects may preserve relevant records, restrict accounts or content, and report or cooperate with lawful authorities and child-safety organizations where required or appropriate.
14. Copyright and Other Rights
You must not upload, publish, stream, or share content you do not have rights to use.
Rights holders can submit copyright concerns through the Copyright Policy, the Legal Center request form, product-specific copyright flows where available, or support@qannects.com.
Watch may have copyright claim and counter-notice flows where available. Public copyright contact details and any designated-agent details are provided in the Copyright Policy.
15. Take It Down Requests
Qannects provides a Legal Center request path for nonconsensual intimate imagery and related digital-forgery concerns. A requester does not need to be a Qannects account holder to ask Qannects to review content under this policy.
Qannects may ask for information needed to locate the content and communicate with the requester. Sensitive legal request types may require contact-email verification before review continues.
Qannects does not promise statutory deadlines, known-copy matching, scanner/hash workflows, or duplicate-removal automation unless a specific published policy, product flow, or legal requirement says so.
16. Account Deletion and Data Rights
Users may request account deletion through available in-app flows, the Legal Center request form, or support. The current account lifecycle flow supports reversible deactivation and 30-day scheduled deletion where available. Logging back in before the scheduled deletion date may cancel deletion before finalization.
When deletion is scheduled, Qannects may hide or restrict the personal profile, revoke active sessions, reserve or tombstone public handles, revoke non-owner workspace memberships, and move the account into pending deletion status.
Full Qannects identity deletion may be held if the user owns a workspace, organization page, creator channel, donation surface, or other operated surface that must first be transferred, dissolved, suspended, or reviewed.
Deletion may not remove records retained for legal, safety, payment, fraud-prevention, audit, backup, moderation, copyright, takedown, dispute, or other legitimate reasons. It may also not remove copies held by other users, participants, workspaces, devices, recipients, screenshots, caches, or external services.
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or privacy review through available Legal Center and support channels. Legal Center account-deletion requests are support intake and verification paths, not automatic deletion execution. Qannects may verify contact email and may require stronger account or identity verification before acting on sensitive requests.
17. Privacy
Qannects handles personal information according to its Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information Qannects collects, how it is used, how it may be shared, how it is retained, and what choices or rights may apply.
Privacy is a trust and responsibility. At the same time, users should understand that public content, workspace-visible activity, donation/payment records, messaging metadata, reports, moderation records, legal requests, and safety records may have different visibility and retention rules.
18. Third-Party Services
Qannects may rely on third-party services for payments, hosting, storage, analytics, notifications, email, SMS, app stores, maps/geocoding where used, media processing, security, support, legal operations, and similar services.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, restrictions, and operational rules. Qannects is not responsible for third-party services except where applicable law says otherwise or a specific Qannects agreement says otherwise.
19. Service Changes
Qannects may add, change, restrict, suspend, disable, or discontinue features, services, routes, integrations, products, accounts, content, or access.
Demo, preview, pilot, internal, future, or unreleased features are not guaranteed public production services. Qannects may also change product availability by geography, platform, account type, workspace role, rollout stage, safety posture, legal requirement, or operational readiness.
20. Termination
You may stop using Qannects at any time.
Qannects may suspend or terminate access when needed for safety, security, legal compliance, policy enforcement, operational integrity, nonpayment where applicable, account compromise, repeated violations, deception, misuse, or other legitimate reasons.
Certain provisions should survive termination, including content licenses needed for operation, payment obligations, legal/safety retention, audit records, intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations, dispute provisions, and other terms that by nature should continue.
21. Disclaimer and Service Availability
The Qannects app and services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or always-available service.
Some features may be unavailable, delayed, changed, suspended, restricted, or discontinued because of maintenance, outages, provider issues, safety concerns, legal requirements, product readiness, or operational limits.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qannects is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, service interruption, user content, third-party conduct, or unavailable features. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
22. Changes to These Terms
Qannects may update these Terms. Material changes should be versioned and presented through appropriate web/app notice or acceptance flows.
Qannects keeps versioned legal acceptance records for required Terms and Privacy updates. Older termsAcceptedAt timestamps may remain as compatibility records, but new material Terms or Privacy updates should use the current versioned bundle and acceptance flow.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Before starting a formal legal claim, users should contact Qannects at support@qannects.com so Qannects has a reasonable opportunity to review and try to resolve the concern.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless applicable law gives the user a different non-waivable right.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
