1. Purpose and Scope
This policy explains how Qannects handles copyright concerns involving posts, images, audio, video, Watch content, live streams, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, comments, organization pages, workspace content, TV/display content, and other material available through Qannects services.
Qannects respects intellectual property rights and expects users, creators, organizations, workspace operators, administrators, and future sellers or delivery participants to upload, stream, display, or distribute only content they have the right to use.
This policy works with the Qannects Terms of Service, Community Standards, Watch rules, workspace rules, privacy notices, Legal Center request process, and feature-specific terms.
2. Copyright Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you provide through Qannects. Do not upload, stream, copy, post, display, title, thumbnail, describe, distribute, sell, or promote content unless you own it, have permission, have a valid license, or are otherwise legally allowed to use it.
This includes videos, live streams, lectures, khutbah recordings, nasheed, Quran recitations, books, articles, images, logos, graphics, event posters, captions, thumbnails, translations, course material, organization media, and other creative works.
3. Where to Submit a Copyright Report
Rights holders may submit a copyright report through available product flows, the Qannects Legal Center request form, Watch copyright claim flows where available, or support@qannects.com.
Unless Qannects publishes separate designated-agent details, support@qannects.com is the public copyright contact.
Any DMCA safe-harbor position depends on statutory requirements, designated-agent registration where applicable, public agent details, repeat-infringer handling, counter-notice workflow, and operational process.
4. What a Copyright Report Should Include
To help Qannects review a copyright report, include:
- A physical or electronic signature from the copyright owner or authorized representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed, or a representative list if multiple works at a single online location are involved.
- Identification of the Qannects content you believe is infringing, with enough information for Qannects to locate it, such as URLs, content IDs, screenshots, titles, timestamps, creator/channel names, workspace names, or post links.
- Contact information for the reporting party.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the reported use is not authorized by the copyright owner, the owner's agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the report is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your typed or electronic signature.
Qannects may ask for more information if a report is incomplete, unclear, appears fraudulent, does not identify the content, or does not include the required statements.
5. Legal Center Copyright Intake
The Legal Center copyright request form currently asks for the allegedly infringing content location, the copyrighted work or original work URL, copyright owner name, good-faith statement, accuracy statement, authority confirmation, contact email, and signature.
Legal Center copyright requests may receive a request ID, contact-email verification, and status lookup where available. Keep your request ID for follow-up.
Private file evidence upload is not public-ready unless Qannects explicitly enables it for the request. If file upload is unavailable, the request can still be submitted with URLs, content IDs, descriptions, original-work details, and other location information.
6. Watch Copyright Claims
Watch has product-specific copyright claim handling where available. A Watch claim may ask for copyright owner name, claimant name, contact email, original work details, original work URL where available, signature, and legal certification.
Qannects may place Watch content under review, block playback, remove visibility, disable comments, restrict live activity, issue or release strikes, restore content, or take other actions based on the claim, counter-notice, legal requirements, policy, product capability, and review outcome.
7. Review and Possible Actions
Qannects may review copyright reports, counter-notices, content metadata, Watch records, reports, internal review notes, and available evidence.
Depending on the situation, Qannects may remove content, disable access, block playback, restrict visibility, reject reports, preserve records, notify affected parties, restrict accounts, restrict workspaces, restrict creator or Watch features, or take other action consistent with policy, law, product capability, and safety needs.
Qannects does not guarantee that every report will result in the action requested by the reporter, and does not guarantee that every restriction will be reversed after a counter-notice.
8. Counter-Notices
If Qannects removes or restricts content because of a copyright claim, the affected user or creator may be able to submit a counter-notice where the product or support workflow allows it.
A counter-notice may require the submitter's physical or electronic signature, identification of the removed or restricted content and where it appeared before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that the submitter has a good-faith belief the content was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, contact information, consent to appropriate federal court jurisdiction where required, and acceptance of service of process from the claimant or the claimant's agent.
Qannects may keep content restricted, restore content, forward counter-notice information, require additional review, or take other action depending on law, provider requirements, risk, product capability, and the applicable workflow.
9. False or Abusive Claims
Do not submit false copyright reports, false counter-notices, fake ownership claims, impersonation claims, automated abusive claims, or copyright reports intended to silence lawful content, harass users, manipulate competitors, or interfere with Qannects operations.
False or abusive claims may lead to rejection of the request, restriction of account or workspace access, loss of Watch features, enforcement under the Terms of Service or Community Standards, or legal consequences.
10. Repeat Infringement and Strikes
Qannects may restrict, suspend, terminate, demonetize if monetization later exists, remove, or limit accounts, creators, channels, workspaces, organization pages, or content that repeatedly infringes copyright or repeatedly receives valid copyright enforcement actions.
Watch may use strike-related handling where available. Strike thresholds, appeal paths, expiration rules, and cross-product enforcement may vary by feature, severity, repeat conduct, and operational capability.
11. Retention and Privacy
Qannects may preserve copyright notices, counter-notices, request records, evidence references, verification records, internal review notes, content identifiers, timestamps, claimant and submitter contact details, Watch records, strike records, and decisions for legal, safety, audit, abuse-prevention, dispute, and compliance reasons.
Qannects may limit what it can disclose to a claimant, affected user, creator, organization, or workspace when disclosure would create safety risk, expose private information, interfere with legal obligations, or affect another person's rights.
12. Future Store and Delivery Services
Store is currently demo, preview, or pilot posture unless Qannects explicitly launches it as a public marketplace. Delivery services are not deployed as public services at this stage.
If Qannects later launches public marketplace, seller, delivery, or product-listing services, those services will need additional intellectual property, listing, brand, counterfeit, product-media, seller-dispute, takedown, and repeat-violation rules before launch.
13. Contact
Copyright questions or reports can be sent to support@qannects.com until dedicated agent details are published.
