1. Purpose
Qannects is built to serve communities through technology while holding itself to Islamic principles and values. This page explains the values that guide Qannects policy, product design, moderation, privacy posture, donations, payments, workspace authority, Watch, and future product surfaces.
These values are intended to shape how Qannects operates. They are not decorative statements and should be reflected in product behavior, user rules, admin tools, data handling, and enforcement decisions.
2. Core Principles
Qannects policies are grounded in Islamic principles and values including trust, truthfulness, justice, privacy, modesty, dignity, child protection, anti-exploitation, fair dealing, community benefit, accountability, and responsible stewardship.
- Trust: user data, donations, workspace authority, and community relationships must be handled as a responsibility.
- Truthfulness: users, organizations, creators, and admins must not mislead others about identity, authority, content, fundraising, payments, products, or services.
- Justice and fairness: Qannects should apply policy with care, context, consistency, and protection for affected users.
- Privacy: personal information should not be misused, exploited, sold for money, or shared outside Qannects except for legitimate product, safety, support, payment, operational, legal, or user-directed reasons.
- Modesty and dignity: Qannects should maintain a family-safe environment that rejects pornography, sexualized content, immodest content, exploitation, objectification, and degrading behavior.
- Child protection: safety of children and minors is a high-priority responsibility.
- Community benefit: Qannects should support beneficial community work while reducing harm, deception, abuse, and exploitation.
3. Modesty, Safety, and Prohibited Content
A core objective of Qannects is to maintain a modest, family-safe, and values-based environment. Pornography, sexually explicit material, sexualized content, or content outside Qannects' modesty standards has no place on the platform.
This applies across text, images, video, audio, livestreams, thumbnails, profile content, messages, attachments, links, comments, uploads, Watch content, organization pages, reviews, future commerce surfaces, and any other media or interaction.
Qannects may take strict action for violations, including removal, account limits, suspension, termination, workspace restrictions, evidence preservation, legal escalation, or reports to appropriate authorities or safety organizations where required or appropriate.
4. Privacy and Data Trust
Qannects treats personal information as a trust. User data should mainly be used within the Qannects ecosystem to provide, secure, support, improve, and protect the service.
Qannects does not treat user data as a commodity and does not sell personal information for money. External sharing should be limited to legitimate reasons, such as payment processing, hosting, storage, notifications, email/SMS, security, analytics where used, app-store operations, legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, user direction, or other service providers needed to operate Qannects.
As Qannects matures, Qannects intends to reduce unnecessary external service dependencies where practical so more user data can remain protected inside the Qannects ecosystem.
5. Donations, Payments, and Community Funds
Donation and payment features must be handled with honesty, accountability, and care. Donation appeals, organization profiles, receipts, payment requests, recurring donations, refunds, and support communications should not mislead donors or users.
Organizations and workspace operators are responsible for truthful fundraising, accurate descriptions, lawful use of funds, donor communications, receipts where applicable, and their own tax, zakat, accounting, charitable-registration, and compliance obligations.
Qannects should not present a donation, payment flow, organization, product, or service as religiously certified, zakat-valid, tax-deductible, or guaranteed unless the relevant product behavior and published policy clearly support that statement.
6. Workspace and Admin Responsibility
Workspace authority is a trust. Owners, admins, moderators, editors, payment-device operators, creator operators, and organization representatives must use access only for authorized and truthful purposes.
Qannects may review, log, restrict, revoke, or escalate admin actions for safety, security, compliance, support, legal, audit, or policy reasons. A workspace role must not be used to deceive, exploit, shame, harass, pressure, or misuse community trust.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
Qannects may enforce policies more strictly than general social platforms because the platform is built around Islamic principles and values.
Moderation decisions may consider severity, intent, context, repeated conduct, user safety, child protection, community harm, fraud risk, payment integrity, legal obligations, evidence availability, and platform integrity.
Qannects should avoid arbitrary enforcement where possible, but it may act quickly when content or conduct presents serious safety, exploitation, pornography, child-protection, fraud, legal, or community-harm concerns.
8. Future Products and Launch Readiness
Future product areas, including public marketplace, delivery, creator, payment, or commerce surfaces, should not launch publicly until the related product behavior, safeguards, policies, support paths, moderation tools, refund/dispute posture, and compliance responsibilities are ready.
Preview, demo, pilot, internal, or unreleased features do not create a promise that the feature is a public production service.
9. No Certification or Professional Advice
This values statement does not mean every feature, donation, organization, user action, payment flow, marketplace item, future delivery action, creator upload, or service is Sharia-certified.
Qannects does not provide religious rulings, legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, accounting advice, zakat determinations, or charitable-status determinations. Users and organizations should consult qualified advisors for specialized questions.
